Glynda Rees
Networked Health BC, Co-Chair
Dr. Glynda Rees is a Registered Nurse and Program Lead for the Digital Health program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). She holds a Doctor of Nursing (DN) from the University of Calgary, where her research focused on the co-creation and evaluation of digital health education to support evolving health workforce needs.
Glynda’s interests include digital health education, the impact of health information technologies on clinical judgment and decision making at the point of care, and the potential for health information technologies to improve health outcomes across communities. Glynda is committed to advancing clinical data standards, fostering interoperability, and promoting connected care within the healthcare system to enhance patient outcomes and streamline healthcare delivery.
Dr. Rees served on the Expert Advisory Group for the Pan-Canadian Health Data Strategy and currently serves as Co-Chair of Networked Health BC, Co-Chair of Education for the Canadian Nursing Informatics Association (CNIA) West Chapter, and a member of the Digital Health Canada Education Task Force. Through these roles, she supports collaboration, digital health workforce development, and responsible health data governance to advance more equitable and connected healthcare.
